Spitfire Wheels

Browse through a selection of high quality, flatspot resistant urethane from one of the oldest and finest wheel companies in existence with Spitfire Wheels at Division 24 Skate Store.

Founded in 1987 under DLX Distribution (home to Anti-Hero Skateboards, Krooked Skateboards, Real Skateboards, Thunder Trucks and Venture Trucks), Spitfie have been at the forefront of urethane production for over three decades.

Spitfire Wheels produce a vast range of urethane catering to just about every shape and size of wheel imaginable across a range of price-points – all of which are manufactured in the USA. Their ‘Low-Down’ wheels and ‘Cheapshot’ bearings are ideal for putting together a quality undercarriage without breaking the bank whereas Spitfire’s ‘Classic’ and ‘Bighead’ wheel models, carrying two of their most recognisable motifs, are a mid-range option which have been the brand’s primary product of choice for much of Spitfire’s venerable lifespan.

However, in recent years Spitfire have further developed their urethane formula with the result being their premium wheel option – the Formula Four. Utilising years of experience and tested by their expansive team, Formula Fours are Spitfire’s highest quality and flatspot resistant wheels to date.

Formula Fours are available in 99A and 101A durometers (coloured blue and red, respectively) and can be found in six shapes; Classic, Lock-In, Conical, Conical Full, Radial and Radial Slim. Although both formulas are suited to any style of skateboarding, our general rule of thumb is that a 99A Formula Four is best suited to transition skating thanks to wheels grippier nature and high rebound ability. Whereas a 101A is a more appropriate street wheel due to their harder durometer which allows for more speed and slide.

It’s only natural that after such a lengthy tenure in the skateboarding industry the company has amassed one of the heaviest team line-ups imaginable and with Anthony Van Engelen, Dennis Busenitz, Silas-Baxter Neal, Ishod Wair, Daan Van Der Linden and countless others riding the fire, you know you can’t go wrong with a set of Spitfire Wheels.
